Ray Tomasi represented Gosnold and gave an overview of changes, including adding “Reaching out to Families” in Chatham, but not Orleans because of funding constraints. Eastham benefits from Outpatient Department in Orleans on Old Colony Way. Counseling, but no psychiatry yet.~ The full impact of Health Insurance benefits has not yet been realized. Development of new programs continues.
~
Catharine McCauley and Elizabeth Aldred spoke for The Children’s Place. They reported no dwindling of enrollment in all departments. The pre-school now includes children from birth to 6 has a waiting list! They are able to~help parents find subsidies in many, though not all, cases. Seaman’s Bank subsidizes children of their employees, and Eastham has given them a 10-year lease! They have served 500 families (multiple services) from Harwich to P-town. New this year is an evening course for parents, “Making Ends Meet”. They are looking forward to another productive year.

After a brief overview of committee assignments the April 29 minutes were accepted as amended, and the meeting was adjourned at 8:40.

Respectfully submitted,
